SAFETY

Safety in and around the water is extremely important and this is something I always incorporate into the lessons. Basic skills such as; kicking to the surface, rolling onto their backs, floating, and holding on could increase the chances of saving a child's life should an accident happen.

Swimmers, parents, and guardians must observe all pool rules and behave in a manner that ensures the safety of themselves and others and not place anybody in a position of unnecessary risk.

I am a fully qualified ASA and STA Swimming Teacher and DBS checked, I also attend a biennial national rescue award for swimming teachers, to ensure our knowledge is up to date and relevant regarding safety and first aid.

....It's absolutely safe for your baby to go underwater with my help support and guidance, but is always your choice.

BENEFITS

Swimming in water is a physical and mental workout that helps with co-ordination, building strength, and stamina but is also calming and stimulates the senses.  Classes often encourage better appetite and sleep, especially in younger children and babies! (the water is a magic world of exploration and discovery).

Mothers with post-natal depression find bonding time with their baby or toddler and mild exercise can be very beneficial for mental health.
